test and measurement for WiMAX is critical especially with MIMO functionality and Fading. Rohde & Schwarz provides solutions. And we are interested to hear your requirements.

denial of service is rejected when base station is full and no available IP address in the modem. have you ever try to increase the height of the CPE or check on the BS manager software regarding about the UL/DL signal levels? is there any obstruction on the LOS? check also the network modem it must be 10/100 fast ethernet or gigabit ethernet.

I was able to bring link by realigning it to another base station.

Currently am researching on Denial Of service on 802.16,specifically on the mac layer.

mohammad hassan:
remove the proxy server in the LAN settings which causing the LAN card confuse in selecting IP address and was not be able to open any web page also, remove all the IP's and DNS server address in the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP). remember that there is different IP from the CPE.

to Hassan:
have you try setting up proxy server? is your network ad hoc or what?
well, ping is a ipx command in which you use it to check whether physical connection / logical connection to destination host available or not.
hope be any of help.

Hello,
I would like to hear experience and to find more about indoor implementation of WiMAX systems with MIMO inside buildings. I was unable to find any literature, although there are books explaining WiMAX (and MIMO) but very little about indoor usage. What is potential of such system (comparing to Wi-Fi and HSDPA) as well what are complication encountered?

Hello All the Engineers out there!

I am NOT a radio engineer. I have become involved in a WiMAX project consulting for a utility company (Law/MBA). We have obtained 3.65 licenses and funding from the government for a 'feasability' study.

Im am in a very rugged area near the mountains and want to install towers and radio equipment for 3.65. The utility intends to use 3.65 to provide internet for its customers and also install wireless meter reading (AMR) networks,

Our engineer only wants to use Airspan equipment. I'm fine with this, but have to 'review' his advice- especially as he wanted to become a 'dealer' and resell equipment to 'Us' (with commission) and many other utilities too.

What other 3.65 vendors should I look at? Why are they a better alternative? What kind of experiences have customers had with Airspan? (I see they are suing a past client, Buzz Broadband, and have some concerns as, after a little investigation of the lawsuit I can see Buzz has some defence & Buzz is now in Bankruptcy. . ,

It would be great to get some insight and advice- it's a very interesting and .unusual WiMAX project and your comments could make a real difference!
