Hey faraha. yaa i did my final year project in WiMAX RF planning. And i use matlab as software tool and standard was 802.16e. But its been a year now.. and im totally out of touch with all this.. :(:( But now im planning to do job in this field after break of 2 years. Wish u good luck for ur project. Hye Farha, yeah im not involve directly to the planning and optimization. I'm more on project management division. And our standard is a wimax standard which is 802.16e-2005. and our frequency range is 2330 Mhz to 2360 Mhz.

Hye Farha, wish u luck on the exam yeah.. now i'm working for YTL ymax .. one of the wimax network provider in malaysia instead of P1, Asia Space and Redtone. My pleasure to have you in any discussion, as i do need to get more involve in the technical area to improve my knowledge and also to make good judgement when it comes to project management. We just started to have trial sites in Bukit Bintang area. Dono the performance yet.

Hi. threshold is the specific parameters for each vendor. So, it's little bit hard to get vendor's value. Just imagine the value from the RCT value. RCT performance is the minumum threshold for passing the test. Normally the value from service provider's requirement is more tough. And for the RF optimization, the parameters for it are similar with the 3G and 2G, as you know. There are not many parameters to handle for it (Antenna height, Antenna type, Tx power, Power control parameters, Hand over parameters, MIMO parameters and so on.
