I am using Planet 5 it is a powerful tool and it has especial module for WiMAX, regarding to the accuracy of the tool it depends on the used propagation model and model tuning accuracy STD deviation and mean error.

Actually, adaptive modulation depends on RSSI and SNR as it is a combination of both so sometimes you can get good modulation scheme with relatively low SNR if the RSSI is very good, for the values you can ask your vendor to provide the table…
