Fixed WiMAX is ideal to provide connectivity upto 5 Mbps per connection to the rural areas providing the access with QoS. The Broadband Wireless (BWI) is another alternative to provide connectivity upto +30 Mbps/connection.

hi Jawad,
i am also using G711 for fax but sometimes getting transmit error.what is the reason for it?Can i have reliable fax transmission ,if T.38 is used instead of G711?
Im Vasu. im doing my dissertation in Wimax using OPNET. My topic is Performance Comparision of VOIP Codec over Wimax. Im a begginer, keen to learn. I just want to some help from you. Which is the best codec to be compared
At this moment, its too early to talk about the handover between two technologies. There are no devices in the market supporting both technologies at the same time. Maybe, in future you will see handsets supporting both LTE and WiMAX at the same time.

Jawad

Hi, am new about WiMax.
Is there a handover between GSM (2G) and WiMax?
If a company plans to setup a new network, can it start with WiMax right away? It seems like WiMax has all the solutions to the shortcomings of UMTS/GSM.
Thank you.
In year 2009 is it still too early? could it possible to be a research title? or mission impossible....? =)

Dear Jawad,
It's great hearing from you.
I see you're working in Redline Communications in Dubai.
I like the products.
I had a complete survey on your different products.
But I need some network designs with RedMAX family products to analyze the whole network.
It would be great if you can provide me some implemented samples.
Best Regards,
Ali Saghaeian
