Hi Alan- Agreed – it would be great to see these build-outs happen more quickly so broadband access can get to the people and businesses in need sooner. I think this newly streamlined process is a great way to accomplish this!

Let's hope that this streamlined process will get the broadband stimulus money to network operators more quickly than would otherwise be the case. That would precipitate a virtuous food chain of wireless or wireline broadband buildouts to commence.

Jeff Thompson co-founded Towerstream in December 1999 with Philip Urso. Jeff has served as a director since inception and as chief operating officer from inception until November 2005 when he became president and chief executive officer. In 1995, Jeff co-founded and was vice president of operations of EdgeNet Inc., a privately held Internet service provider (which was sold to Citadel Broadcasting Corporation in 1997 and became eFortress ("eFortress")) through 1999. He holds a B.S. from the University of Massachusetts.
