The cable giant that could, a short 4G story

Would you have bet one year ago that the cable giant known as comcast, would be serving up 4G mobile broadband, before, well anyone really. Except Clear, Sprint. But before the AT&Ts Verizon, T mobile. and the rest. This wimax thing is really starting to take shape. I hope this news is what Clear needs to start there rapid deployments.

4G strategy gets clear

With yet another launch of clear services in Atlanta, and the aggressive marketing of apple, with there price dropping of the iphone,in the same 48 hours of the palm pre launch. There just wanting to keep subscribers under contract. As there subscriber base were coming up for renewal, and to take the steam out of sprint sales, as well as to keep there base from shifting carriers. This is aggressive marketing.

Devices will be key to 4G

I think we can all agree that the IPhone made a statement, AT&T's turn to say can you hear me now. Two issues that caused Sprint problems, was first that 100 dollar all you can eat plan, and second, the launch of the IPhone, in and around that same time frame. Consumers said if I'm going to pay 100 dollars, I'm going to go first class, and the subscriber base shifted carriers. That ripple effect is being felt through out the telco industry. Cable with wimax smart grid

Wimax could provide cable with bandwidth during an outage, or storm damage. Pole or ground mount radios, wimax and wifi or? would sense no RF and wimax changes it's mode of operation to that of cable provider, until RF is restored. Sending voice, data, video, Yes TV to,through the cable lines, which makes the next piece of equipment RF hot. there's a little bandwidth issue, that will be worked out in time. Wimax news keeps getting better

Thus far, the biggest news since the Clearwire Sprint merge. Is this Clear Cisco partnership, which may well be the biggest news yet for wimax. In my last blog tittled listen up comcast get those wires wireless, i wrote about Cisco, and Comcast being able to bring lightning fast wifi to the home. Now enter Clear Comcast and Cisco. I think the big players in the telecom ind. are at a cross roads, with do you build new wireless infrastructure outside the old .Or do you help drive technology to a place where devices crossover from existing service to wimax. I would think those products are ready and waiting for certification at some level. the wimax forum, or FCC. I also think that if a device was released tomorrow. that crossed over. .Wireless broadband, endless possibility's What I see by 2011 2012 Tv and radio,movie studio's security co's ,telcos. As we move ever so closer to mobilizing our lives, world wide. All of those company's will have to adjust to the changing of a mobile society. Quality content has arrived and wireless broadband as a delivery system is the match. That will change our viewing listening and entertainment pleasures to a on demand lifestyle with more content than you could ever ask for, Advertising dollars follows the leader. We can just learn to monitor our own security systems from our cell or voip phones saves consumers every month. this is just some of the disruptive nature of this technology.
