I am currently working in Afghanistan's premier telecommunications company (Afghan Wireless Communication Company) as a corporate sales manager for ISP business. We recently acquired and rolled out Alvarion's WiMAX equipment offering its services in the capital city of Kabul. Our device already did Operator IOT with various.famouse global Base stations (Samsung, Motorola, Huawei, Alcatel, Posdata.
We are using GCT chip. Japan, Korea, USA, Russia they using GCT chip.
And We have biggest Mobile Wimax wave 2 market share in Korea, Japan, China, Azerbaijan. Our engineer has rich experience of having techinal cooperation abroad.
So, I suppose there is no big problem between our device & your basestation.

Thanks for your comments. Our devices spec(HW,SW) meets the Wiamx forum standard. Our devices chip had IOT with various B/S companies ( Motolora, alcatel, Samsung, Posdata, Huawei etc). Hi Paul. I did it when I was with Intel. The first project was with Globe Telecoms. We did a pre-Wimax 802.16D implementation using Alvarion in the Philippines. It was the first in South East Asia and the 2nd in Asia Pacific then. I was handling South east asia for a group in Intel then.
Sorry i was not able to reply asap, but anyway, we are curently deploying pre-wimax equipments..no wimax setups yet..i think ntc has not approve of wimax to be deployed in the philippines yet, but our equipments are ready to go in case there is a go signal from ntc.. you know how it works here. haha
How is your deployments there in afgan? wow.. i would love to see your deployments there...hehehe hey if you happen to visit philippines, let me know..
