In fiji we also use Alvarion BM series for almost 3 years now and just recently there has been a few Motorola sites deployed.
basically all pre-16e sites and plans are to migrate to full 16e platform.

It's almost been a year since a Somoa has had couple of Wimax deployments. CSL uses Alvarion BM series of products. And believe there are a few others in the South Pacific who have had trial deployments.

the 3400 is connecting to ceragon on one side and 2950 on other side. no issues so far.
agreed nick...desktop analysis on pathloss looks good..hope field tests are same also.

We deployed Sagem & NEC in MW. & Using L2 Cisco ME 3400.
Are you facing any port stucks issue.

try pathloss..it is good for predicting coverage for our sites before actual deployment.
also have deployed 20km LOS link using 2.5ghz wimax. modulation rate was QAM64 - UL QAM64-DL

if you are from the pacific than we must have met. just starting a discussion so that we can share and ask questions about wimax products and its performance.
we have achieved 9/10 Bars on the SAU on a distance of 20 km. we are using 2.5Ghz licensed freq.
UL / DL QAM64
RSSI UL/DL -76/-74
we will be conducting tests at 30-40km range in the coming weeks since Alvarion products have a cell radius parameter…
