- Why are you interested in WiMAX?
- I am a Researcher in Computers and Systems department in the Electronics Research Institute of Egypt. My research areas are the Wireless Networking and IP Mobility. I Have a B. Sc. and M. Sc. in Communications Engineering from the Cairo University. I had been involved with Telecommunications and Information Technology since 1994. I held senior management positions at, and consulted to, many major private and public sector corporations and to many USAID projects in Egypt in the areas of data and voice networks, and Internet/Intranet. Also I had several years of project management experience working with diversified, cross functional teams. I held the position of International Applications Engineer at Wi-LAN Inc. and I was directly involved in Wi-LAN's LibraMX 4rth generation OFDM 256 FFT Engine Design effort and in the deployment and management of several LibraMX Beta site installations, that eventually led to EION's new LibraMAX WiMAX Platform System Solution. Currently I am the International Applications Engineer for EION Wireless Inc. in Africa, Middle East and Central Asia Division.
